ABOUT
The International Symposium on Precision Machining and Advanced Technologies (ISPMAT 2022) provides an opportunity for experts, researchers and developers to promote technology exchange and cooperation in the fields of Mechanical, Automotive, Construction and Thermal technologies.
The purpose of the conference is to creat a forum for global scientists to share knowledge and establishing international research collaborations in their careers. At the conference, the researchers will not only be able to share their new ideas, solutions to solve problems relating to Precision Machining and Advanced Technologies, but also identify new problems and research directions for related research and development in the future. Researchers from all countries are welcome to participate and submit papers to the conference topics.

1/ Prof. Dr. Ahmed A.D. Sarhan

Dr. Sarhan is working on Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Intelligent Automation, Precision Machining and digital Manufacturing. He received his Ph.D. from Precision Engineering Department, Kyoto University (Japan) which is considered one of the top institutions in Japan and one of the most prestigious universities worldwide (Ranked 37 in QS ranking 2022). Currently, he is working in King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, which is considered one of the top institutions in Saudi Arabia and one of the prestigious universities worldwide (Ranked 189 in QS ranking 2022).
Throughout his engineering career, Dr. Sarhan has completed 50 research projects funded by the public and private sectors and undertaken various consulting assignments. Thus far, he has published more than 250 peer-reviewed articles in leading high impact ISI journals and reputable conference proceedings in a wide variety of manufacturing-related disciplines. He has been granted 23 patents in manufacturing and have won several gold, silver and bronze medals in local and international exhibitions. In addition, Dr. Sarhan has successfully overseen the graduation of 18 PhD and 25 M.Sc. Furthermore, Dr. Sarhan is editor for many journals including Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering (AJSE) (ISI – I.F. 2334), reviewer for many M.Sc. and PhD theses, many reputable engineering journals with high Impact Factors and refereed international conferences. Dr. Sarhan is a professional engineer in (IMechE), UK, as a (CEng.), in addition to many other memberships with professional bodies, JSME, ASME, M-IET (UK), M-IPENZ (NZ), M-BE (My), M-BE (Eg). He is ranked by Research.com and AD Scientific Index as prominent academic platforms for scientists, as one of the topmost productive researchers in global ranking lists. He is also listed as a Top 2% Scientist by Stanford University in 2022.
2/ Professor Seung-Bok Choi
State University of New York, Korea
Professor Seung-Bok Choi received the B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Inha University, Korea, 1979. He received the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees from the Michigan State University, U.S.A in 1986 and 1990, respectively. He had worked at Inha University for last 30 years as a fellow professor and retired in 2021. He is currently a leading professor of mechanical engineering at the State University of New York, Korea (SUNY Korea). In addition, he is a visiting professor of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. His research interests are controller design utilizing smart materials such as magnetorheological (MR) fluids, piezoelectric materials and shape memory alloys. The applications fields include vehicle control, vibration control, robot control, medical surgery control and rehabilitation systems. So far, he has published 3 books, 20 book chapters and more than 650 SCI papers (Rank 1 in Korea, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Field (refer to research.com). Currently, he is serving as editorial members for many international journals including Smart Materials and Structures, J. of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, Scientific Reports and so forth. In addition, he is actively working as a Fellow Member of The Korea Academy of Science and Technology, and The National Academy of Engineering of Korea.
3/ Professor Dung-An Wang
National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan
Professor Dung-An Wang received the B.S. degree with high honors in mechanical engineering from the National Sun-Yet Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1992. He received the M.S. in mechanical engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1996 and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, United States in 2004.
While studying the Ph.D. degree, he joined National Steel, Michigan, United States, working on sheet metal forming. For his graduate work in University of Michigan, he specializing in MEMS, sheet metal forming and plasticity, with a dissertation on plastic and fracture analysis of engineering materials and welded structures. From 2004 to 2005, he worked at Da-Yeh University, ChangHua, Taiwan developing micromachined piezoelectric actuators and friction stir welding technologies. From 2005, he has been with National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan, performing R&D on compliant mechanism design, novel ultrasonic horn design, steel leveling, micromachined energy harvesters and CMOS MEMS sensors and actuators. He is presently a distinguished professor in the National Chung Hsing University and a visiting professor in the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He in an inventor on several patents and has authored or coauthored a number of papers and a book chapter related to failure mechanisms of advanced welding processes.
